Why fireworks are so colorful?: Small particles of various metals in the sky shot heat up and transform into colors. You may have seen yellow sparks caused by friction of iron. In the same way lithium carbonate turns red, calcium chloride turns orange, sodium nitrate turns green, copper chloride turns brown and aluminum & magnesium transform into white bright sparks. Colorful smoke can also be generated by burning of zinc power.

Magnetic Hill (Leh): You may have watched videos in which vehicles would have been seen moving upwards instead of moving downhill on the hilly terrain when vehicle has been neutralized. There are many such hills in the world and are knows as gravity hill, magnetic hill or magic hill. In India, about 50 km away from Leh, highway Leh-Kargil-Shrinagar of Ladakh passes at such magnetic hill. Many researches have been done but no magnetic force nor any power found in the hill. At Ororo, Bowen mountain and Victoria of Australia, at 5 places in Canada and 1 in China, such gravity/magnetic hills are situated.
