When I was kid, my mother often prepared "Tikha Daliya (તીખા દાળિયા)" for me for noon snacks. "Tikha" means "spicy" and "Daliya" means "Roasted Gram" or we can say "Roasted Chana".
Here I am using roasted split gram (દાળિયાની દાળ) as it is a routine grocery item in most of the Indian homes.
Ingredients:
Ingredients |
1) Half cup (about 50 grams) roasted gram (split or whole)

3) Salt for taste

4) My favorite Indian Red Chilly Powder (half tablespoon)

Steps:
1) Take half cup of roasted gram (whole or split) and add 1 tablespoon of Ghee or vegetable oil in it (choice is yours). Roasted Gram (સેકેલા ચણા / દાળિયાની દાળ) would be about 50 grams because we are using Indian Cup called "Katori" and Katori is bigger than the cup.

2) Add salt according to your test. I often take little more salt because there is a less salt in my brain. Mix it well.

3) Add red chilly powder (about half tablespoon).

Spicy Roasted Gram (તીખા દાળિયા) |
This spicy snack is good for gymmers also. Indian roasted gram is rich in carbohydrates. Ghee or vegetable oil serves as a lubricant in our body. Salt is just for the test whereas red chilly has many benefits if it is taken daily but in a viable quantity according to your tendancy.
My mother and you (my brother) both often prepared "Tikha Daliya (તીખા દાળિયા)" means "Spicy Roasted Chana" for me as noon snacks. Yes, Mouthwatering and Healthy too... 👍
