With the Swadeshi and Boycott Movements, the Indian goods became popular again. स्वदेशी और बहिष्कार आंदोलन के साथ, भारतीय सामान फिर से लोकप्रिय होने लगा। સ્વદેશી અને બહિષ્કાર આંદોલનનો ને લીધે, ભારતીય માલ-સામાન ફરી લોકપ્રિય થવા લાગ્યો.

'Swadeshi' means 'of one's own country' and 'boycott' means 'to refuse or say no'. 'स्वदेशी' का अर्थ है 'अपने देश का' और 'बहिष्कार' का अर्थ है 'अस्वीकार करना या मना करना'। 'સ્વદેશી' નો અર્થ થાય 'પોતાના દેશનો' અને 'બહિષ્કાર' નો અર્થ છે 'નકારવું કે અસ્વીકાર કરવો'.

So these movements meant 'saying no to foreign goods' and 'buying things of one's own country'. तो इन आंदोलनों का मतलब था 'विदेशी वस्तुओं का अस्वीकार करना' और 'अपने ही देश की चीजें खरीदना'। તેથી આ આંદોલનનો અર્થ હતો 'વિદેશી વસ્તુઓનો અસ્વીકાર કરવો' અને 'પોતાના દેશનીજ વસ્તુઓ ખરીદવી'.

British government tried to suppress the movement. ब्रिटिश सरकार ने आंदोलन को दबाने की कोशिश की। બ્રિટિશ સરકારે આંદોલનને દબાવવાનો પ્રયાસ કર્યો.

They jailed the protesters and their leaders and beat them. उन्होंने प्रदर्शनकारियों और उनके नेताओं को जेल में डाल दिया और उन्हें पीटा गया। તેઓએ વિરોધ કરનારાઓ અને તેમના નેતાઓને જેલમાં ધકેલી દીધા અને તેમને માર મારવામાં આવતો.

This angered the people. इससे लोगोंमें आक्रोश पैदा हुआ। આથી લોકો ગુસ્સે થયા.
